Tell It To The Bees
“Paquin, in one of her strongest performances since The Piano, and especially Grainger (best known for a substantial résumé of British television) shoulder the film’s dramatic burdens with grace and ease. They’re a pleasure to watch.”~Los Angeles Times
Aroview: Romantic drama set in 1950's rural Scotland, where a burgeoning romance between a female doctor and the mother of one of her patients provokes social sigma. Elevated by fine performances from English actress Holliday Grainger (THE BORGIAS) and of course Anna Paquin. Based on the novel by Fiona Shaw.

2 stars (Good Try) The story follows a well trodden path but the shooting locations, wardrobe, and other period details are excellent. ~Tubbs
4 stars (Very Good) Nicely done Scottish film of the 1950s. Subtle, with a profound edge. A beautiful film in many ways. Maybe NZ was more progressive, but I knew lots of women in Lesbian relationships in these years and few/no eyebrows were raised here. Terrific acting. ~Sandy
