White Riot
“An excellent brief documentary about a heroic grassroots political movement whose importance reveals itself more clearly in retrospect with every year that passes.”~Peter Bradshaw, The Guardian
Aroview: A frighteningly still-relevant documentary about "Rock Against Racism", a movement that was formed in 1976, as a result of a far-right political uprising and famously controversial comments made by Eric Clapton.
Blending fresh interviews with archive footage, the film recreates the hostile environment of anti-immigrant hysteria and National Front marches, and the RAR response which engaged bands like Steel Pulse, The Tom Robinson Band and The Clash, whose iconic song provides the film's title.
