Judas and The Black Messiah
“Brash, narratively risky, full of life and sneaky wit and brimming with terrific actors.”~Chicago Tribune
Aroview: Incendiary biopic set in late-60's Chicago, following the infiltration of the Illinois chapter of the Black Panther Party by FBI informant William O'Neal (Lakeith Stanfield, SORRY TO BOTHER YOU), which culminated in the betrayal of chairman Fred Hampton (Daniel Kaluuya). Full of powerhouse acting performances and timely themes of racial injustice, this is a major triumph for writer-director Shaka King.

5 stars (Exceptional) Heartbreaking, true, unforgettable, convincing. Based on thorough research of the 'War on Blacks' in America in 1968, between the killing of Dr King and BLM. Subtly acted & plotted. Violence breeds violence, a truth that America cannot understand. ~Anon
3 stars (Good Enough) It is a worthy addition to the canon of racial injustice. ~Tubbs
