BlacKkKlansman
Aroview: Celebrated as the best Spike Lee "joint" in years, this astute period satire tells the story of Ron Stallworth, a black police officer in 1970's Colorado who goes undercover to infiltrate the Ku Klux Klan. John David Washington is superb in the lead role, while the film boldly explores themes of racism and idealism with disarming wit.

2 stars (Good Try) The screenplay is okay except it travels too much on well-trodden ground at times. ~Tubbs
5 stars (Exceptional) Deviates a bit from the true events it is based on. More drama than the comedy that the trailer portrays. Final minutes show horrific footage of recent KKK/neo-Nazi groups & violence (including the horrific mowing down of anti-racist protesters by a car). ~Rowlf
