Aroview: Crime noir set in Missouri during the Depression, following the kidnapping of a priviledged meat heiress by notorious amateur hoodlums the Grissom Gang, one of whom falls in love with her.

Director Robert Aldrich imbues this otherwise traditional 30's-era gangster movie with the gothic atmosphere and intense melodrama he is well known for. Based on the 1939 novel 'No Orchids for Miss Blandish' by James Hadley Chase.
