Scarygirl

Aroview: Australian 3D-animated family film based on both the video game and graphic novel of the same name. Young Arkie journeys to the City of Light to rescue her octopus father from the evil scientist Dr Maybee, who is also stealing electricity from plants in order to conduct various experiments.

Contains plenty of impressive visuals and interesting ideas, though the final result is a bit convoluted. Also features an impressive voice cast, though endowing the villain with the kindly voice of Sam Neill is a bit of a mismatch.
