4 stars (Very Good) Sleuth Renko, [Hurt] irks the KGB after a stomach churning triple murder in bleak Soviet days. A top cast with Marvin; as a ruthless, self-regarding American on a dodgy mink heist. Apted had Dennis Potter to adapt Martin Cruz Smith’s thriller. enigma192. ~enigma192.

3 stars (Good Enough) A decent screenplay but William Hurt wasn't convincing. However, there were other performances that helped compensate. ~Tubbs
