400 Blows, The
Aroview: Truffaut's first film rocketed him to fame as some kind of New Wave radical, but at a second glance this story of a teenage delinquent thrown in and out of borstal is suprisingly gentle and even-handed. Title is French term for "raising hell".

3 stars (Good Enough) ~mproctornz
4 stars (Very Good) The screenplay is believable and without melodrama. The first half in particular has plenty of 50's Paris streets location shooting, which I would never complain about. ~Tubbs
