Aroview: Visionary director Baz Luhrmann takes his STRICTLY BALLROOM crew to the Americas and conjures a cinematic universe of striking originality and other-worldliness that somehow perfectly compliments the pomp and melodrama of the text. Hardly textbook Shakespeare, but we suspect the Bard himself would think it was seriously cool!

4 stars (Very Good) Baz Luhrmann sure has an eye for style, updating the Shakespeare classic for this generation, and casting the swooning DiCaprio and sweet Claire Danes as Romeo and Juliet. This is Shakespeare for a Hollywood audience, but somehow, it works. ~Tom H
4 stars (Very Good) Hip, modern, film adaptation of Shakespeare's classic tale of two star-crossed lovers - set on the streets of Verona the two gun-toting families wage war, while dialogue stays true to the original text. Clever, stylish, and very unique. ~GenXGirl
4 stars (Very Good) A brilliant revival of the Bard's work, with effortless style and the wonder of the original dialogue. ~Wizzums
