Aroview: After the tragedy of DEEP IMPACT, we get to witness the end of the world again, this time Jerry Bruckheimer-style (CON AIR, THE ROCK). That means big, loud and never-a-dull-moment, though quite a few a ridiculous ones as Bruce Willis and his motley flock (Steve Buscemi, Billy Bob Thornton, Liv Tyler, Ben Affleck and others) wing into space to blast an asteroid, about to collide with Earth, to smithereens!

4 stars (Very Good) This is a true Michael Bay/ Bruckheimer Hollywood flick, with plenty going on at all times, but there are some genuine tear-jerking and enjoyable moments if you let yourself be drawn in and refuse to simply hate on it because of its reputation. ~Tom H
2 stars (Good Try) It is easy to understand why we sneer at Michael Bay after sitting through this clunker. ~Nick McB
2 stars (Good Try) There is no urgency to the early scenes - which is commendable considering the risk to the Earth - time for romance - then the special effects (very good) take over.Acting talents of Buscemi,Thornton,Patton not required. ~Tubbs
