Self Made Hero, A
Aroview: Mattieu Kassovitz (director of LA HAINE) proves to be no slouch actor here as a WW2 idler who swats up and cheekily ascends the ranks of the post-war military elite by passing himself off as a Resistance hero. Absurd premise almost makes it, but serio-comic tone deems it to feel either too far-fetched or perhaps not-quite-clever enough.
