Colour of Pomegranates
Aroview: A visually exquisite, at times baffling film from the much-censored Armenian director. Retells the life of 18th century mystic poet Sayat Nova in series of stylised tableaux that overflow with profane, mysterious symbols, as the poet changes sex and receives angels, among other things!

4 stars (Very Good) If GIFs were sewn together with poetry. Undoubtedly pillaged by advertising, fashion and art directors alike for it's exotic pallette and striking beauty. The disembodied soundtrack tops-off this creative mother-lode of originality. ~Regando
