THX-1138 (1970): Evidently 'the simplest pleasures are forbidden' applies to the audience too.
Matter of Life and Death, A (1946): Niven struggling with survivors guilt... just like the entire audience was in 1946.
Beat the Devil (1953): Enjoyable shambles. Starts as if it's in the middle and ends with the same feeling. The cast are just riffing, and you're invited along as one of the gang.

Colour of Pomegranates (Color of Pomegranates) (1969): If GIFs were sewn together with poetry. Undoubtedly pillaged by advertising, fashion and art directors alike for it's exotic pallette and striking beauty. The disembodied soundtrack tops–off this creative mother–lode of originality.
