Negotiator, The
Aroview: A touch angry after being framed for corruption, Samuel L. Jackson kidnaps the responsible party and squares off against the formidable eyeballs of Hostage Negotiator Kevin Spacey. Jacked several levels above your average thriller, this has the finesse to get away with having few surprises among the hubbub. Except that is, for a great farewell performance from the late J T Walsh (as the slimeball).

4 stars (Very Good) Great fun. Is it my imagination, or is Spacey doing a Gene Hackman impression ("I'm very angry with you right now") in the scene where he's trying to negotiate his wife out of the bathroom? ~HiFi
2 stars (Good Try) A silly screenplay that requires, for the most part, the characters to swear and yell action words at each other otherwise they will throw their toys out of the cot. ~Tubbs
