Psycho
Aroview: Colour remake of Hitchcock's most famous film closely follows the original but never comes close to being anything other than a cheap gimmick.
The original film was a purely cinematic exercise in suspense, with its most potent commodity being the element of surprise. Here, unless you, ahem, happened to come down in the last shower, there are no surprises and thus, no suspense. Instead, Vince Vaughn, Anne Heche, Julianne Moore, and everyone else concerned go through the motions as if they were partaking in a high school stage version of the film.

3 stars (Good Enough) A good-enough and faithful remake of the original suspense classic, but ultimately unnecessary. There are few surprises for those who have seen the first, and those who haven't should prefer the Hitchcock version. ~Tom H
1 star (Turkey) Horrible Remake, they did not need to remake psycho ~Wyatt Earp
