Aroview: A rollicking and fairly successful Mel Brooks take-off of STAR WARS and the space-opera genre, with Rick Moranis irresistibly hilarious as "Dark Helmet", a vertically-challenged, comic antithesis of iconic villain Darth Vader. Also gotta love the self-referential humour of the Spaceballs merchandise throughout, and a sequence involving the VHS videotape being released well before the film is finished!

Some of the sophisticated special effects were in fact supplied by Star Wars creator George Lucas' ILM.
