Central Station
Aroview: A cantankerous woman who writes letters for the illiterate at Rio De Janeiro's train station obliges to help a 9-year-old boy locate his distant father after his mother is killed. Literate, affecting drama explores the bond between a motherless child and a lonely older woman, but rises above its overfamiliar premise with an authenticity of setting and character, and the veteran prowess of notable Brazilian actress Fernanda Montenegro.
