Aroview: Queasily, both a documentary and 'mockumentary'; the director set out to make a movie and find himself a girlfriend at the same time, organising 20 dates with various L.A. woman and surreptitiously filming the results. Despite the dubious ethics of the enterprise, there's a pulp compulsiveness (not dissimilar to Reality TV shows) to the desperate documentarian's deceptions and half-baked camera confessions. Once more, only in America.
