Idiots, The
Aroview: One of the fruits of Dogma 95, this sensationally conceived outing from von Trier will satisfy those with a penchant for the experimental, and confound and stimulate the rest.
Middle-class trouble-makers attempt to pass themselves off as a group of mentally-handicapped patients run amok, leaving a swathe of confusion, clothing and gang-banging in their wake. Bizarre, confrontational and somewhat jarringly shot on handheld video.

2 stars (Good Try) A group of seemingly intelligent people live as a community of 'idiots', taking delight in being as mentally retarded as possible in public and either annoying or shocking as many 'normal' people as they can. I tried to 'get it', but failed. ~GenXGirl
3 stars (Good Enough) A fascinating experiment - and a fascinating concept - yield some remarkable moments of gallows comedy, high-tension, and shocking tenderness. Not especially satifsfying overall, but impossible to dismiss (or comprehend without seeing for oneself). ~fairbrother
