Klown
Aroview: Danish comedians Frank Hvam and Casper Christensen play debauched versions of themselves on a weekend canoe trip away with their long-suffering girlfriends in this riotous, taboo-busting yet sweet-centred comedy.
Based on a TV series of the same name, this conforms to the classic 'odd couple' template with the leads well-rehearsed in their roles as 40-something pals with clashing moral codes and appetites for adventure. There are at least a couple of set pieces that are lewd, laugh-out-loud talking points, but the film consistently pays off its smaller set ups and never feels scattershot in spite of the from-the-hip shooting style. Terrific 'adults only' fun for grown-ups.
