Celebration, The
Aroview: Conceived and executed under the "Dogma 95" manifesto, this corrosive black comedy sees the birthday celebrations of a wealthy family implode after shock revelations are politely ignored, at least initially, before violence and degenerate behaviour ensues.
Dramatically more ambitious than Von Trier's THE IDIOTS, the trademark Dogme 'video' feel and off-the-cuff acting again will either convince or irritate.

4 stars (Very Good) Don't be scared by it's Dogma 95 origins, Festen fair jumps along ferociously. None of that school's usual 'watch-while-I-park-the-car' ' boredom. ~Regando
4 stars (Very Good) Aka "The Happy Family". ~Tubbs
