Aroview: Dashing, murderous fun from the makers of THE ENGLISH PATIENT, fashioning another esteemable literary piece, derived here from Patricia Highsmith's 1950s novel. Matt Damon plays an unstable hanger-on who is drawn/worms his way into the desirable Italian lifestyle of millionaire's son Jude Law and fiance Gwyneth Paltrow, then turns deadly when he's given the flick. Yachts, jazz and sumptuous period threads aside, this stands on its gripping portrayal of capricious psychology and moral corruption.

4 stars (Very Good) ~atsophie
2 stars (Good Try) Thought the screenplay was a bit ordinary and as it goes on for ever it lacks suspense. Part of the deception relied on Damon and Law looking alike which they don't. ~Tubbs
5 stars (Exceptional) Excellent cast. Beautiful Italy perfect. A masterpiece. ~DrBeast
