Aroview: Set in London 1993 when the Balkan Wars were in full flight, this lively, panoramic drama reaches its ambitions in witnessing turbulence of the domestic front across a large ensemble cast. Presenting London as a cosmopolitan melting-pot that refuses to melt, the Bosnian-born director has a wicked eye for the abrasive conflicts inspired by race, class and gender, though humanity finally, and satisfyingly, emerges victorious.
