Aroview: A consummate adult drama from A-list writer-director Anthony Minghella, who tightly constructs a meaningful portrait of scarred lives and compromised relationships in contemporary London.
Jude Law plays an ambitious architect failing to find a work-life balance with wife and troubled child, who through an intriguing chain of events 'enters' a relationship with Bosnian immigrant solo mum, Juliette Binoche (luminous even in poverty). Though it ties up in a way that might be a little too pat for some, this is a consistent and thoughtful treatise on the politics of modern living, and delivers the kind of serious-minded entertainment that has become the director's forte.

5 stars (Exceptional) Very great acting by all, a terrific plot, and very interesting. Fascinating & convincing. A great movie, strongly recommended! ~Anon
3 stars (Good Enough) I thought it lost its way a touch toward the end but the writing was good in the main and the casting was excellent. Both Ray Winstone and Vera Farmiga did some scene stealing. ~Tubbs
