Cell, The
Aroview: Entering the mind of serial killer might seem like a tired idea, but commercial supremo and visual stylist Tarsem Singh creates a impressively creepy dreamscape of mythic-biblical proportions.
With SILENCE OF THE LAMBS and ALTERED STATES as the obvious reference points, Jennifer Lopez's Alice is literally dropped into Vincent D'Onofrio's sicko wonderland. Hardly well-rounded character-wise, but still a must for tech-fiends.

5 stars (Exceptional) Stylish to the point of inappropriate for subject matter? ...nah! Tarsem Singh's "molecular-psychopera" vision quest here tells a story of itself! Howard Shore's very very hallucinatory score is a treat ~Dr_'n'
2 stars (Good Try) Best watched with the isolated score turned on so you can enjoy the incredible visuals & soundtrack without getting distracted by the dreadful script & acting. ~Pearce
