All That Jazz
Aroview: Audacious, some would say self-indulgent, musical-comedy - a semi-autobiography of celebrated New York choreographer and director, Bob Fosse. Frenetically edited and amplified in true Fosse style, it brings a hardened insider’s view of the professional and personal demands of show business, with Roy Scheider a triumph against type as his womanizing, workaholic alter-ego. But the music itself, it has to be said, doesn’t score quite as well.

2 stars (Good Try) Fosse depicts himself as a hands on person - in his private life as well as a choreographer. The dance numbers were okay but not memorable. ~Tubbs
3 stars (Good Enough) I'm one of the ones who would say self-indulgent. A repellent character, but a marvellous piece of acting by Roy Scheider. didn't know he had it in him. ~BabyJane
