Aroview: A charming romantic comedy stamped with the purely cinematic style of dir. Jean-Pierre Juenet, who here remixes intricate set pieces, editing wizardry, swanky-kitsch production design and droll humour to the max.
Audrey Tautou (think Audrey Hepburn meets Olive Oil) plays the ultra-sweet bobbed brunette who’s dedicated herself to solving other people’s problems, but finds her own romantic distraction while on the cupid trail. Safely recommended for those that prefer bubbly over a gutsy red, it’s a giddy visual confection in the mould of MOULIN ROUGE that has enjoyed a similarly fervent following.
