Aroview: Hallmark slice of Miramax tragiwhimsy that follows the odyssey of lost-in-life Kevin Spacey, led by his aunt up to his family’s bleak ancestral village in Newfoundland after the death of his tearaway wife.
Following the family tree back to his ‘roots’, his assimilation into a quieter pace of life brings some calm weather, romance and more than a few troubling family skeletons breaking out of the closet. Adapted from the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel by E. Annie Proulx

0 star (Not rated) Diverting enough; absolutely gorgeous, if bleak, scenery. I saw it years ago, but it was utterly unmemorable. I see now why I didn't remember it. ~ets
2 stars (Good Try) Didn't dislike it but for some reason, despite the quality casting and the shooting location, the screenplay lacked appeal. ~Tubbs
