Austin Powers in Goldmember

Aroview: The third and probably final instalment of the wildly successful spy spoof series sets itself in the garish 1970s, but having run clean out of original gags, resorts to shamelessly cannibalizing its superior predecessors.

Adding flaky Dutch megalomaniac Goldmember to his triple turn as Austin/Dr. Evil/Fat Bastard, Mike Myers appears to have lost his ‘mojo’ (looking alternately bored and exhausted), while the rest of the cast are reduced to set dressing. This may have rang gold at the box-office, but for our money Austin Powers only lived twice.
