5 stars (Exceptional) Lynch's "dream of dark and troubling things" cannot be explained, only experienced, so be ready to go with its subconscious-trawling flow: the trance-inducing rhythm, eerie soundtrack, and striking images weave a singular spell. ~fairbrother
4 stars (Very Good) Experienced Lynch watchers won't be too worried about not being able to follow the screenplay. He is a director with a true artistic imagination & makes the best of a very small budget. Not a mood uplifter but a very satisfying experience. ~Tubbs
5 stars (Exceptional) A nightmarish hellscape drenched in darkness from minute 1 to minute 90. The unforgiving editing and sound design elevate the story to reach a peak the horror genre experiences far too rarely. ~Anon
