Die Another Day
Aroview: High on octane, low on sustenance, Pierce Brosnan beefs up the machismo (and arrogance?) for his fourth outing as Bond - indignant after a long stint as a hostage in North Korea and caught up in a convoluted vendetta that takes him to such exploitable locales as Cuba and Iceland.
Missing the droll humour and sympathetic factor that are the hallmarks of the franchise, what remains is an ear-splitting, eye-popping vehicle for CGI action and chase sequences involving hovercrafts, surfboards, helicopters, jet planes, jet-skis, and invisible Aston Martins.
