Bunker, The

Aroview: Unpretentious and mostly effective horror, unusually set around a Nazi platoon during WW2, who are retreating across the Ardennes in 1944.

Taking shelter in an anti-tank bunker that leads into a deep labyrinth of tunnels, inter-group tensions and troubling memories among the Germans gradually give way to the recognition of a greater foe within the tunnel complex – is it American infiltrators? Or a mysterious, evil presence? Sober in its tone and skilled in its buildup, this almost makes it to the finale without evoking the silliness of the comparable THE KEEP.
