Aroview: The British Army copes with an uprising in Sudan in 1875, while one officer must redeem himself from a charge of cowardice - which earned him four white feathers from his fiance and friends.

Adapted from a classic imperialist novel by A E W Mason (of which this is at least the sixth version), this adds a few new notes of revisionism, but is still mostly concerned with mounting an excellent battle adventure.

2 stars (Good Try) Throughout the production values are very good. The early part of the screenplay is the best - there are some good bits in what follows but it runs out of steam and has difficulty in finding an ending. ~Tubbs
