Aroview: Politically-confused blackly comic satire that follows the progress of Christina Ricci's 'inappropriate' romantic fixation with a disabled student at her high school.

For all its talk of non-conformity, the makers don't summon the courage to cast real disabled persons, and thus strand their film between the edgy arthouse and the teenage mainstream with an ultimately tepid investigation of the various forms of taboo-breaking and their social consequences.
