Bostonians, The
Aroview: Set in post-Civil War Boston, this slow, though beautifully shot drama is a sturdy version of Henry James' famous novel.
Concerning the early years of the Suffragette Movement in America, this creates a compelling triangle of relationships between its stars. Redgrave in particular is excellent.

3 stars (Good Enough) I've given this film 3 stars due to the splendid cast and calibre of acting. The film is a good representation of the novel but I believe Henry James either didn't like or didn't understand women. ~Anon
2 stars (Good Try) Well produced as you would expect but the screenplay is a bit stodgy. However on the plus side is the quality casting of Redgrave, Shawn, Hunt, and Tandy. ~Tubbs
