Aroview: Tom Wilkinson takes on the brave role of an All-American husband and family man who one day tells his wife (Lange) that he "is a woman trapped inside a man's body".

Thus begins a journey of feminisation, in which Wilkinson moves out, begins wearing perfume, woman's clothing and taking female hormones. Thoughtful, even slightly black-comic, this drama will challenge many viewers, and yet presents the complex issues of transgenderism with respect and honesty. Although a little thin and soap opera-ish at first, this is well worth perservering with.
