Feat. Larry David, Jeff Garlin
Aroview: We can't contain our enthusiasm for this little-known gem of a series from SEINFELD co-creator Larry David , who here plays himself - a successful TV exec 'man-who-has-everything' whose best intentions are constantly foiled by life's little embarrassments.
Family and associates appear - as 'friends' and 'associates', while various celebrities also drop in (as themselves), and interact in semi-improvised scenarios informed by David's endearing comedy of middle-aged anxiety. A major cult hit in the US, this includes the HBO special that inspired the series.

5 stars (Exceptional) Some of the best episodes of the series, especially "Ted and Mary." ~dr.strangelove
1 star (Turkey) An interview with David explains that some of the "script" is ad lib but that's no excuse for the poor level of comedy. Maybe the series is intended to offer something other than comedy and I've missed it(?) ~Tubbs
4 stars (Very Good) Ever notice how it's life's most absurd trivia that conspires to humiliate us the worst? Larry has. Jewish humour at it's most excrutiating - I, for one, laughed like a drain. ~fairbrother
