My Neighbour Totoro
Aroview: Dir. Miyazaki’s first huge hit in Japan is a model family film: realistic characters responding to realistic crises in a realistic way, though still imbued with a coherent fantastical vision.
Two girls who move to the country to be near their ailing mother discover an enchanted world in a nearby forest, which only they can perceive. Created with hugely satisfying visual panache and overall intelligence that fans of Miyazaki are sure to recognise.
New local release edition features both subtitles and a quality new English dub.

5 stars (Exceptional) The most family friendly of any Ghibli film, this masterwork gently takes you through the faint aches of youth with utter trust in the wonder of a nature-inspired imagination. The film is so adorable you will want to buy all it's merchandise. ~Anon
