Aroview: Studio Ghibli's latest animated triumph respectfully borrows from the classic English children's tale of 'The Borrowers', about a family of tiny people who live resourcefully beneath the floorboards of a sprawling old house and its surrounding enchanted garden.

A near-perfect animation that adopts a more classical approach to storytelling than usual for the Japanese studio, with a beautiful relationship between a human boy and thumb-sized girl at its epi-centre. So enchanting, one could argue that it wraps itself up rather too soon.
