Under the Tuscan Sun
Aroview: Likeable tale of Mediterranean healing, with Diane Lane exuding considerable charm in her role as a divorcee who rebuilds her life by restoring a rundown 'pile of bricks' in delightful Tuscany.
Not bad as wish-fulfillment - the Italian landscape certainly helps - as Lane survives the initial challenges, steels her resolve and sights a little romance appearing over the horizon. Based on the autobiographical novel by Frances Mayes.
