Aroview: A moody debut for dir. Dillon, unfolding a familiar thriller of dueling lowlifes in the exotic-chaotic scenery of presentday Cambodia.

Dillon (also starring) plays an American conman pursuing his partner (Caan) for his share in a successful insurance scam, but gets bogged down in the opaque street politics of Phnom Penh. Carries a certain downbeat 70s vibe, which may put a few off, but worth catching for some nicely untidy location work and its atmosphere of amoral regrets. Written by Barry Gifford (LOST HIGHWAY).
