Aroview: Possibly the finest of the BBC's M R James adaptations, this spooky tale concerns a closeted, sceptical professor (Hordern) whose seaside holiday turns into a nightmare of supernatural stalking.

As directed by the maverick Miller (ALICE IN WONDERLAND), Hordern exists in a twilight of muffled half-awareness, his slowly growing anxieties (and insanity) expressed in atmospheric b&w photography.
