Pocketful of Miracles
Aroview: Frank Capra's final film (and Ann-Margret's debut) is an appealing remake of his earlier LADY FOR A DAY, in which the poverty-stricken Davis is visited by her unknowing, long-separated daughter.
With the help of racketeer Ford, Davis contrives to manufacture the appearance of a wealthy, comfortable lifestyle. Short on satire and long on sentiment, this none-the-less is a great family film for the right occasion.

2 stars (Good Try) Unfortunately, the screenplay is a little drawn out diluting the comedy effect but the casting at all levels can be admired - for example, to be found in the supporting roles are Peter Falk, Mickey Shaughnessy, and Edward Everett Horton. ~Tubbs
