Hollywood Ending

Aroview: Dir. Allen turns the lense onto his own business in an ever-characteristic comedy about a struggling film director (Allen) whose comeback assignment is made 'difficult' by a case of psychosomatic blindness.

Recruiting a student to be his eyes, Allen tries to negotiate both the task at hand and the various personal and business difficulties that get under his feet. Probably his most relevant outing for several years, this still has its weak spots, though the humour is as effortlessly effective as usual.
