Troy
Aroview: Homer's epic is cranked up to full fury in this Hollywood CGI-ed adaptation, depicting the seige of Troy by the vengeful Greek army and the vivid personalities of Achilles (Pitt), Helen (Kruger), Agamemnon (Cox), Paris (Bloom) and Hector (Bana).
While taking some rather large liberties with the storyline, this manages to pack in the essentials, chiefly revelling in a series of gruesome hand-to-hand battles and grand dramatic moments. Less impressive for its underlying glossiness and a few crucially bland performances, this is still entertaining hokum in the best Cecil B. DeMille tradition.

2 stars (Good Try) Pitt spends half the film in,yes the pit.Brian Cox makes a compulsory performance. The first twenty three battle scenes are okay but after that they fail to maintain the attention. ~Tubbs
