Aroview: Charming "French souffle" about a forlorn divorcee who hires a housekeeper to clean up his slovenly act.
However, it turns out she's never done a day of housework in her life, but no matter, he soon learns 'tis better to be happy and messy than spotless and miserable. Partly set on the majestic beaches of Normandy, the not-too-jaded will find this bittersweet romantic comedy a soothing distraction.
Average rating (Good Enough). Showing 1-4 of 4 member reviews.
4 stars (Very Good) Brilliantly says "Ha, told you so!" to middle-aged male desire. Watch it and shake your head in rueful recognition. Has Berri done anything this good in ages? ~HiFi
3 stars (Good Enough) ~Milana
2 stars (Good Try) Not in the same class as Berri's earlier movies. Slow & predictable. The beach is in Brittany (hence cold), just past Carnac & thus likely Le Pouldu, more convincingly portrayed in "M. Hulot's Holiday". No reasons for the splits shown are suggested. ~Sandy
2 stars (Good Try) Full of surprises and hard to predict what will happen next. ~Tubbs
