Aroview: Another reliable entertainment from the writer-director of THE CLOSET and THE DINNER GAME, this screwball crime comedy boasts a central comic partnership of France's favourite sons, Gerard Depardieu and Jean Reno.
Playing a gruff, cold-blooded killer like his synonymous role as Leon in THE PROFESSIONAL, Reno is the deadly straight man to Depardieu's buffoon, a naive petty criminal eager to be his partner in crime and friend for life. The premise lends itself to some expectedly cute gags though with perhaps less surprises than usual.

5 stars (Exceptional) Really funny French Farce showing a new side to two well established and highly respected actors. ~buttercup
5 stars (Exceptional) Exceptionally funny - guaranteed to lighten your evening! My favourite scenes are with the prison psychologist. Probably the funniest film in ten years. Recommended for all. ~Sandy
4 stars (Very Good) The first hour is particularly strong before the screenplay weakens. Depardieu shows a flair for comedy but the casting department does a fine job all around. ~Tubbs
