16 Years of Alcohol
Aroview: A heartfelt spin through the dying memories and reflections of a Scottish hard-man (Kevin McKidd), as he revisits his flawed childhood, youthful conversion to the national liquor and subsequent messy life-story in the skinhead 1970s.
Directed by ex-punk rocker Jobson (of The Skids fame), and adapted from his own prose-poem, he certainly has a way with words and his heart in the right place, but he can't quite manage the distance to avoid it falling into confessional therapy.
