Card Player, The

Aroview: Dario Argento, Master of 'Giallo' Cinema, strives to update his style of acutely crafted horror to a contemporary plot involving a policewoman hunting a serial killer, who gambles with her for his victim's lives in an online poker website.

Although storywise this is promising, it never really deals a satisfying hand, making the overall lack of blood-letting even more of a disappointment. Still, there is some typically sadistic setups here and a good score by Claudio Simonetti.
