Who's That Knocking At My Door?
Aroview: Martin Scorsese's debut feature spins an affecting yarn of youth around the relationship between a street-smart Catholic, Keitel (also debuting), and confident undergraduate student (Bethune).
Set in NYC's Little Italy, this is packed with atmosphere and gritty moments, and more than a few of Scorcese's autobiographical leanings. Apparently this evolved out of Scorcese's student graduation work and was completed after four years of further development. Worth checking for a great pop score, and some bravely stylised sex scenes.
